Isabella and I spent some time together before Christmas and we made ornaments for her to give relatives and friends. We had lots of fun assembling these and I think she did a really good job.
I made Santa Cam’s ornaments for me and a few families with little kids. I got all the FREE instructions and svg cutting file from https://www.lovepapercrafts.com/santa-cam-svg-cut-file/ Hope you enjoy them.
Isabella’s Christmas gift is a mermaid blanket
I used Loops and Threads Impeccable Glitter 3 balls of Rose Glitter, 3 balls of Aqua Glitter and 3.5 balls of Grey Glitter each ball is 217 yards.
I made the medium size blanket following the pattern from https://yarnutopia.com/tag/mermaid-blanket/ her pattern and instructional video are great.
To use up as much of the yarn as possible I did 3 extra rows before starting the final 10 rows, however I feel I could have done even 3 more but it would have been close to running out of yarn all together.
I know it’s big but she might want to curl up with her big sister or mom so I tried to make room for both.
Emily’s Christmas gift is a mermaid blanket
I used Red heart Soft 3 balls of Lilac 256 yds each, 3 balls of Grape 256 yds each and 5 balls of Plummy 204 yds each, however I could have only used 4 but I wanted the tail to be thicker so I double yarned it.
I made the large size blanket following the pattern from https://yarnutopia.com/tag/mermaid-blanket/ her pattern and instructional video are great.
To use up as much of the yarn as possible I did a total of 84 rows before starting the final 10 rows.
I know it’s long but I feel Emily is going to be very tall.
Jett’s and Cameron’s Christmas gift is a shark blanket
I used Everyday Premier yarn Gray 7 balls 203 yds each.
I made the large size blanket following the pattern from https://yarnutopia.com/?s=shark her pattern and instructional video are great.
I think the boys are going to love them.
Jellyfish for VERY little ones.
I made 3 Jellyfish for kids 1 and under. I used 100% cotton yarn (like the kids dishcloths are made from) so they are easy to wash.
I following the pattern from http://www.1dogwoof.com/crochet-jellyfish
A few months ago I purchased some shirts I wanted to decorate for Emil, Charlie and Isabella but took too long now I don’t know if they will fit them.
The one originally for Emily is now way to small for her so that moved over to Isabella however she will have to grow into it….lol The one for Charlie we will to see if it fits…if NOT I guess it will move order to Aiden…..next time I need to get cracking on the shirts when I buy them.
In the mean time what do you think?
I found a new teacher on Meetup.com in Oakville and her page is called Oakville Card Making and Paper Crafting.
We made the following which was great timing as Scott works with 3 ladies and now he has something to give them on Friday for Thanksgiving.
The haunted house is going to sit on his desk with little candies hiding in the roof.
So mom and I had a fun craft day and decorated glass ornaments using Ranger Alcohol Ink
I found these posting on YouTube and used it as inspiration for ours.
We made a total of 18 but mom said she only had room for 3 on her tree. I can’t put 15 on my tree so look out people some of you might be getting new ornaments for Christmas.
